Registered participants at the ICDE World Conference 2017 who apply on site for ICDE institutional membership and pay the 2018 fee before 15 December 2017 – get a 50% reduction of the fee for 2018.

Membership Campaign
ICDE is launching its Membership Campaign for 2017-2018 with the aim of expanding the ICDE community to the unreached in further pursuit of the vision to be the global facilitator for inclusive, flexible, quality learning and teaching in the digital age.

With the support and active involvement by its member community, ICDE continues to be a global force for lifelong, open and flexible learning responding to the urgent challenges of bringing about a wanted future as set forth by the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) and Education 2030: ‘Towards inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning for all’.

ICDE believes that education is a universal right and should be available to all.

The ICDE community of members make the vision, the values and the mission of ICDE possible by participating in direct decision-making, in cooperative action and in cooperative problem solving in a spirit of openness, collaboration, accountability and transparency.

Who are the members
ICDE has members from all regions of the world. Members that collaborate and network for inclusive, flexible and quality learning and teaching in the digital age. Members are institutions that are engaged in flexible learning, or blended learning, online learning, open education, digital supported or technology enhanced learning, distance teaching or a combination of all this.

Universities and higher education institutions, adult education institutions, companies, networks, international and national associations, governmental agencies and ministries, individuals, experts and doctoral students are taking part in ICDE.

About the Membership Campaign and how to apply for ICDE membership
The membership campaign is launched for achieving more global balance in the ICDE community and to expand the ICDE institutional membership base for greater impact on the future of education.

ICDE welcomes all educational players, in particular traditional higher education institutions entering digital supported learning and teaching.

The annual membership fee for an institution is governed by the size of that institution’s budget. Traditional universities with only some online and flexible learning, can join ICDE with a significant discount.

Applications are presented by the Secretariat to ICDE's Executive Committee for approval.
